Activity Outline
This interactive, case-based clinical session brings optometrists together to examine practical, evidence-informed approaches to myopia management, dry eye disease, early presbyopia intervention and the use of AI-enabled technologies in contemporary eye care.
Expert presenters will use clinical cases, peer discussion and guided reflection to connect current evidence with assessment, communication, management planning, follow-up and referral decisions in day-to-day optometric practice.
Participants will leave with actionable strategies to improve patient outcomes and experiences across paediatric myopia care, ocular surface assessment and management, early presbyopia conversations, and technology-assisted clinical decision-making. The program is educational in focus and designed to support clinical reasoning rather than product training.
Learning Objectives
- Apply evidence-informed clinical pathways for myopia management, dry eye disease and early presbyopia intervention, including appropriate assessment, follow-up and referral considerations
- Differentiate patient presentations using case-based findings and select management options that align with patient risk profile, symptoms, lifestyle needs and clinical evidence
- Translate peer discussion and expert insights into specific changes that can improve patient outcomes, and patient education
