Learning Objectives

  • Understanding that disc swelling, papilloedema, and disc haemorrhages are associated with local and systemic disease
  • Identify risk factors and appearance of early endophthalmitis.
  • Recognise the urgency of immediate treatment of chemical burns
  • Understand the phases of management after chemical burn
  • Be informed of current therapies for D.M.E including OZUDEX, Anti VEGF and focal laser
  • To learn the variable appearances of the normal disc.
