Activity Outline

This webinar, presented by Dr Ken Ng, explores a range of retinal cases using a practical, case-based problem-solving approach. Participants will review real-world presentations of macular and retinal vascular diseases, analyse key imaging findings, and discuss clinical decision-making from diagnosis through to management and referral. The session aims to enhance optometrists’ confidence in assessing retinal pathology, interpreting OCT and fundus images, and applying evidence-based principles to optimise collaborative patient care.

  • Identify key clinical signs associated with common and complex retinal diseases using case examples.
  • Apply a structured, case-based approach to diagnosing retinal pathologies in optometric practice.
  • Differentiate between retinal conditions requiring urgent versus routine ophthalmology referral.
