Learning Objectives

  • At the completion of the CPD activity optometrists will have an understanding on all the various multi-focal lenses out on the market that are available for patients. They will be able to have a rough idea of indications and contra-indications for multi-focal intra-ocular lenses.
  • At the completion of the course optometrists will have understanding of the history of ophthalmic health care, surgery innovations and techniques, were we once where and how those trials and errors have led to where we are today- in providing optimum eye health care
  • At the completion of this CPD activity optometrists will be aware of the top 10 news headlines in ophthalmology and optometry. Quite often patients will present to the optometry practice with questions on news headlines they have heard- important to know what is fact and what is not, to be able to provide patients with sound clinical
