In anticipation of a challenging Federal Budget, Optometrists Association had locked in meetings over the coming weeks and months with key federal decision-makers, prior to the budget announcement. A meeting will be held early next week with the Prime Minister’s Health Adviser.
The Federal Budget 2014–2015 was handed down by Federal Treasurer Joe Hockey last night. Although the government has handed down the Budget, it needs to be passed through Parliament before it can be enacted.
