More than 130 registrants attended North Queensland Vision conference in Cairns on 4-5 October.

Queensland and Northern Territory Division CEO Cristy Ross said they enjoyed a very successful NQV conference with great feedback on its trademark relaxed atmosphere.

The conference was held at a new venue, the Pullman Cairns International. It comprised two days of clinical lectures loaded with therapeutic content, allowing registrants to achieve up to 41.5 CPD points.

Registrants socialised at a cocktail welcome reception sponsored by BOC Instruments on the Friday evening. Breakfast lectures were sponsored by Alcon Vision Care and CooperVision on the Friday and Saturday, respectively.

Other popular activities included a trade display, a beachfront dinner in Palm Cove with predinner fire-dancing entertainment, and social activities for registrants and families.

The division’s education committee comprising David Foresto, Kate Johnson, Marissa Megaloconomos and Kady Mitchell organised the lecture program.
