Opposition leader Bill Shorten

Labor leader Bill Shorten announced his 32-member ministry on Saturday.

Catherine King has been named Shadow Minister for Health and Medicare, with her ongoing role expanded to include the publicly funded health-care system. Tony Zappia is the Shadow Assistant Minister for Medicare.

Bill Shorten is the Shadow Minister for Indigenous Affairs and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, with Indigenous Western Australian Senator Pat Dodson as his Shadow Assistant Minister in the portfolio.

Senator Katy Gallagher has taken on the Small Business and Financial Services portfolio.

Amanda Rishworth is the Shadow Minister for Veterans Affairs, a position previously held by member for Batman David Feeney. 

Hunter MP Joel Fitzgibbon continues in his role as Shadow Minister for Rural and Regional Australia.
