- Understand a basic approach to children presented with swollen optic discs
- Differentiate between physiological and pathological anisocoria especially Horner’s syndrome
- Understand the principles in managing children presented with unusual eye movements such as nystagmus
- Learn to identify clinical features suggestive of ocular surface squamous neoplasia
- Gain an understanding of treatment options for OSSN
- Learn about sutureless surgical techniques for treating pterygium
- To recognise the clinical features of high risk sight threatening ophthalmic conditions
- To undertake systematic approach in assessment of ophthalmic emergency presentations
- To effectively facilitate urgent patient care
- To recognise vision and life threatening neuro-ophthalmic problems for emergency referral
- Identify causes of binocular diplopia requiring urgent investigation
- Be able to identify medically urgent causes of transient loss of vision
