- Understanding the purpose & design of a Prosthetic eye
- Know when a patient may require Ocularist referral for a new prosthesis
- Identify when a prosthesis requires attention for review or new construction
- Be aware of complications / co-morbidities that can be associated with prosthetic eyes
- Understanding the patients’ experience
- Awareness of Sunken Socket Syndrome (SSS)
- Be aware & treat dry eye, blepharitis complications specific to Prostheses
- Understand the steps associated in removing / inserting prostheses – find the resources to help
- Know where to refer patients for support & care
