Dr Michael Forrest will host an informative and educational evening covering the following topics: "Getting the most out of your OCT - Glaucoma", "Accommodative Esotropia" & "Astigmatism Management in Cataract Surgery".
Learning Objectives
- Understand the role OCT plays in diagnosis and management of glaucoma and when to escalate treatment
- Understand the correlation between clinical examination and OCT findings for glaucoma
- Revise participants current understanding of OCT technology and interpretation in the context of Glaucoma diagnosis and management
- Identify risk factors for the development of accommodative esotropia and effect of accommodative esotropia on visual development
- Understand when referral for surgical intervention is needed
- Discuss non surgical vs surgical options for the treatment of accommodative esotropia
- Understand how the management of astigmatism can be aided by cataract surgery
- Gain insight into the role that toric intraocular lens selection plays in management of astigmatism
- Understand the role pre operative measurements play in achieving a better outcome post operatively for astigmatism
