Activity Outline

In this presentation, Prof Watson will provide details of a framework that is being developed to help guide eye care practitioners in the best-practice use of ciclosporin when treating dry eye disease (DED). This framework, which is being developed alongside some of the leading eye care experts in Australia, will provide guidance on when and how to use ciclosporin when treating DED, the ciclosporin products that are available in Australia, and will detail other considerations for prescribers, such as the importance of formulation when choosing a ciclosporin product.

  • Understand when and how ciclosporin is used to treat dry eye disease
  • Appreciate the superiority of ciclosporin in clinical effectiveness of ocular surface disease treatment compared to other conventional treatments
