The doctors at Outlook Eye Specialists are excited to host our annual Super Sunday Optometry Conference. Featuring great speakers, practical talks and practice enhancing dialogue. The meeting aims to provide maximal CPD points and is heavily subsidised to provide excellent value! Network with colleagues and faculty and take your knowledge and practice to the next level.   • Understand the various modalities of corneal refractive surgery and their differences
  • Understand the difference in efficacy, safety profiles and potential complications between corneal refractive surgery modalities
  • Understand the rationale for some patients being recommended Implantable Collamer lenses rather than corneal refractive surgery
  • Understand the risk factors for recurrent corneal erosion syndrome
  • Understand the medical and conservative management of recurrent corneal erosion syndrome
  • Be aware of options to treat recurrent corneal erosion syndrome when medical and conservative therapy fails
  • Describe the different types of retinal detachments and their underlying causes
  • Differentiate between rhegmatogenous, tractional and exudative retinal detachments and distinguish them using clinical and imaging technique
  • Identify when retinal detachment requires an urgent or emergency referral
  • Interpret real-world case studies and apply diagnostic principles effectively
  • Understand the different surgical techniques used to manage retinal detachment
  • Explain the importance of surgical timing, especially for macula-on vs. macula-off detachment
  • Identify factors that influence the choice between scleral buckling, vitrectomy, and pneumatic retinopexy
  • Explain the expected timeline for visual recovery following surgery
  • Recognise common post-surgical complications and their management
  • Evaluate surgical success rates and long-term patient outcomes
  • Revise the various ophthalmic conditions managed by retina specialists and current treatment paradigms
  • Understand which retinal conditions can be safely monitored in optometric practice and those that require specialist referral
  • Appreciate the relative urgency of referral for various retinal conditions
  • Determine benign vs lethal causes of ONH swelling
  • Have an outline of monocular vs binocular ONH swelling
  • Understand medications as cause and treatment of ONH swelling
  • Know the quick applicable differential diagnosis of the causation of IOP > 50mmHg and know the management
  • Understand neovascular glaucoma diagnosis and its management
  • Review key nutritional supplements in glaucoma
  • Evaluate the evidence supporting nutritional supplementation in glaucoma
  • Address safety, dosage, and integration into clinical practice
