Learning Objectives
- Understand the use of multimodal retinal imaging in the diagnosis of retinal and optic nerve disease
- Highlight the advancement of therapies for neovascular and atrophic macular degeneration
- Know how to use OCT, infrared reflectance imaging, fundus auto fluorescence and other modalities to assist in the diagnosis of clinical dilemma and management
- Identify patients in which cataract surgery is beneficial to their glaucoma management
- Identify patients in which cataract surgery may be detrimental to their glaucoma management
- Understand special considerations e.g. timing, adjuncts and post operative management
- Understands likely outcomes for EDOF IOLs
- Know the contraindications of these IOLs, and when should a monofocal IOL be used
- Understand which patients are likely to do well with these IOLs and when a full trifocal IOL is a better option
