  • Appreciate the technical differences between the Divide and Conquer and Low Power options in cataract surgery options, including advantages and disadvantages and clinical management
  • Identify pre-operative considerations and patient selection for Low Power cataract surgery, including understanding of all stages in the Low Power technique
  • Allow optometrists to broaden their discussions with patients on choice of cataract surgery including pros and cons, topical anaesthesia, peri-bulbar block and consecutive bilateral cataract removal
