Diabetic disease, holistic general health approach, new drugs, dietary advice and a particular focus on ocular complications.

ARMD - wet, dry, new treatments, what's on the horizon.

Pearls for great referral writing.

Learning Objectives

  • Better understand the current wholistic approach to diabetic disease and ocular manifestations, including urgency of referral and referral pathways (GP/optometrist/ophthalmologist)
  • Better understand ARMD classification (wet & dry) and current/emerging treatments for both, including urgency of referral and the role each discipline plays in managing this disease
  • Know what constitutes a great ophthalmology referral - for the purposes of both information to the ophthalmologist, and necessary tests/scans and interventions for the patient
