Learning Objectives

• To receive a general overview of dry eye explaining the causes and symptoms of dry eye presenting in the optometry practice.
• Outline general lubricating treatments for dry eye syndrome and when should they be used. Attendees will be be given the opportunity to discuss their dry eye lubricating treatment choices and results
• To gain an understanding of Serum Eye drops and how they are produced to discuss collectively where Serum eye drops should be used for Dry Eye Syndrome and experience/results of using these drops
• To understand testosterone in the treatment of dry eye and when this therapy is appropriate to be used
• To understand RexonEye as a treatment in dry eye How does the RexonEye machine deliver it's treatment to patients Understand what the therapy regime consists of Where does RexonEye fit into the treatment of dry eye
• work interactively in groups to diagnose and discuss treatment options for interesting case studies presented by Dr McLean Participants will be presented with anterior segment and interesting case studies and in groups will determine cause/diagnosis of case presented and present back their treatment options which will then be discussed with Dr McLean
• Gain an understanding of the current retinal market including intravitreal injections understand the approval process of providing intravitreal injections gain insight as to what products are on the horizon for retinal treatments
