Activity Outline

In this interactive CPD webinar, hear valuable advice from experienced optometrists on how to get first lens fit success with Alcon's multifocal contact lens design. Review real patient case studies, learn how perform an over refraction on a multifocal contact lens and effectively communicate expectations and adaptation to patients. We will also discuss how to incorporate a TFOS DEWSII dry eye work up in your 30 min eye examination routine. This 60 minute webinar will include 15 minute of interactive discussion where optometrists in groups of 10 or less will reflect on how key learnings will influence their clinical practice. 

Learning Objectives

  • Be able to select the correct initial Alcon multifocal contact lens power and be able to enhance vision for distance and near.
  • Understand how to communicate effectively to our presbyopic contact lens wearers on the expectations and adaptation process for multifocal contact lenses.
  • Describe the TFOS DEWSII diagnosis methodology for DED and how to incorporate this into a routine eye examination.
  • Understand the mode of action of the different Systane lubricant eye drops and how they help manage dry eye.
