Come along for a refresher on lumps and bumps on the anterior eye. You will have an opportunity to better understand ocular surgace tumours including what to watch out for in early detection and when to refer. We will also go over all the common lid lesions.

Our Speakers

Lyn Hsieh

Lyn Hsieh currently holds the positions of Acting Member Services and Policy Manager at OV/SA and the Member Support Advisor at OA. Prior to joining OV/SA she has held management roles for corporate optometry organisations and is currently still a practicing optometrist.

Lyn is very passionate about advocating for optometrists to help them get the most from their optometry career as well as empowering them to understand the value that they can bring as an individual.


Dr Chelsea Lane
Chelsea Lane is an optometrist practicing in Geelong and Colac. She completed the Doctor of Optometry through the University of Melbourne in 2018 and has since completed an Advanced Certificate of Children’s Vision in 2021. She is particularly interested in health promotion, with experience including Committee member for the Optometry Australia ECOVSA Committee, guest lecturing for the Vision Initiative, a Fred Hollows Outreach program participant and a Director and volunteer for Lazarus Community Centre.

Dr Rod O’Day
Dr O’Day is an ophthalmologist with subspecialty training in Ocular Oncology and Medical Retina. He has public hospital appointments at the Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital, Royal Children’s Hospital and University Hospital Geelong. His fellowship training in Ocular Oncology was at Moorfields’ Eye Hospital in London. He has an active research interest, publishing regularly in the medical literature in his areas of specialisation and is an honorary researcher at the Centre for Eye Research Australia.
