Learning Objectives

  • To understand the risk of glaucoma in varying degrees of myopia
  • To understand the challenges in differentiating clinical features and investigation results between myopia and glaucoma
  • To know the risk factors which may indicate earlier commencement of treatment in myopic glaucoma suspects
  • To understand surgical challenges in treating highly myopic patients with glaucoma
  • Understand the modifiable risk factors for relapse of autoimmune disease (especially uveitis)
  • Be able to advise patients about behavioral changes to reduce the risks of relapse
  • Recommend appropriate investigations and treatments to reduce the risk of relapse
  • Understand the risks and benefits of vaccinations in patients with uveitis
