ESA Grand Rounds Seminars aim to update practitioners on new advances and future directions for specific eye disorders and technology.
Our events are accredited by Optometry Australia and participants will be able to receive CPD Hours to count towards their AHPRA Registration requirements for attending this session.
Learning Objectives
- To be aware of various new and emerging treatments for neovascular age-related macular degeneration and diabetic macular oedema
- To understand potential new strategies for the treatment of uveitic macular oedema
- To highlight some of the differences between results from clinical trials and real-world outcomes
- To integrate evidence-based research into clinical decision making
- To understanding the use of OCT imaging for identifying patients with macular oedema who will benefit from therapy
- List 4 different types of clinical trial
- Describe the difference between a sponsored trial and an investigator-led clinical trial
- Describe new agents in development for treating geographic atrophy
- List 2 ocular side-effects of novel immune-oncology agents
