Learning Objectives

  • 1. At the completion of this course, participants will gain an understanding of what Lids by Design is and how it can reducing ptosis without surgery.
  • 2. At the completion of this course, participants will gain skill in applying Lids by Design on their colleagues and/or themselves.
  • 3. At the completion of this course, participants will gain a thorough knowledge of the Nike Vision frame and lens technology, including Nike Max Optics and lens tints for the different sports and patient requirements.
  • 4. At the completion of this course, participants will gain a thorough knowledge of Mako's industry leading lenses for all outdoor activities.
  • 5. At the completion of this course, participants will have full understanding of the Rx Smith project along with Chromo-pop technology.
  • 6. At the completion of this course, participants will understand how contact lenses can play a role with sports vision.
  • 7. At the completion of this course, participants will understand the importance of providing protective prescription eye glasses to staff, common eye conditions, the risks involved and possible accidents in the workplace and how PSG can assist optometrists with offering preventative solutions.
  • 8. At the completion of this course, participants will be competent in building a Hoya safety eyewear offer for their practice.
  • 9. At the completion of this course, participants will be able to explain differences between Shamir lens designs, Shamir lens coatings and Shamir lens materials to offer a consumer the correct choice.
  • 10. At the completion of this course, participants will gain an understanding of how Lids by Design can differentiate their practice and how to promote it.
  • 11. At the completion of this course, participants will gain an understanding of what is required to attract patients seeking eyewear solutions for sporting activities and discuss with colleagues how they are successfully implementing sports eyewear in their practice.
  • 12. At the completion of this course, participants will gain an understanding of the difference sources of safety eyewear business and how to attract those patients and that business and discuss with colleagues how they are successfully implementing safety eyewear in their practice.
  • 13. At the completion of this course, participants will share with each other their special interests/niche services and how they have built sales in niche service offerings.
  • 14. At the completion of this course, participants will learn about the upcoming Eyecare Plus marketing campaigns, what they are about and the new design layout.
  • 15. At the completion of this course, participants will have knowledge about a new exclusive frame range designed for Eyecare Plus, the benefits regarding profit margin and how to order from participating laboratories.
  • 16. At the completion of this course, participants will gain an understanding of how they can overcome road blocks in staff performance to improve sales and efficiency.
  • 17. At the completion of this course, participants will be able to recognise the road blocks that are impeding on staff performance.
  • 18. At the completion of this course, participants will learn about what Tapit is and how it is being used by one member in his multiple practices.
  • 19. At the completion of this course, participants will gain an understanding of how Tapit can be used in their practice and how they can access the service.
  • 20. At the completion of this course, participants will understand what factors play a role in contact lens dropout.
  • 21. At the completion of this course, participants will understand the impact of contact lens dropout on practice revenue.
  • 22. At the completion of this course, participants will understand how contact lenses can contribute to practice growth.
