Learning Objectives

  • 1. At the completion of this course, the participants will gain knowledge about the habits of peak performance such as: science-backed strategies to re-train your brain for high performance, understanding the neuroscience of change and creating new habits, using your time effectively, learn how to increase productivity and manage distractions, stretching your zone of comfort to achieve higher levels of success, work smarter not harder and the importance of mindset.
  • 2. At the completion of this course, the participants will learn how to use these habits to grow their practice by implementing new ideas into their practice, creating a framework for change and stretching their zone of comfort to achieve higher levels of success.
  • 3. At the completion of this course, the participants will develop skills for becoming a leader not a follower, developing influence and communicating change in their practice.
  • 4. At the completion of this course, the participants will have a thorough understanding of the role that the optical practitioner has in educating patients on the importance of protecting the eye from the harmful effects of the sun, preventing damage to the eye and surrounding areas, and the role that polarisation has in this.
  • 5. At the completion of this course, the participants will gain an understanding of how to grow the sun category within a practice through various tools such as implementing an informative lifestyle questionnaire, utilising in store & social media material to educate the consumer, effectively demonstrating sun wear, outlining the benefits of polarised vs non-polarised sun-wear, and highlighting to the contact lens wearer the benefits of sun protection.
  • 6. At the completion of this course, the participants will have an understanding of the key clinical reasons for prescribing 1-day silicone hydrogels.
  • 7. At the completion of this course, the participants will have an understanding of patient attitudes towards trying new contact lens technologies.
  • 8. At the completion of this course, the participants will have knowledge of the benefits of a clear consumer pricing strategy.
  • 9. At the completion of this course, the participants will have an understanding of the various retail pricing strategies.
