Activity Outline
Join us for an educational evening with local ophthalmologists presenting on relevant ophthalmology topics of cataract, glaucoma, paediatric myopia control and oculoplastics. Each of the 4 sessions provides the opportunity to enhance your knowledge and engage in active discussion with the presenting ophthalmologist and your fellow peers.
Learning Objectives
- Develop a solid understanding of the role cataract surgery has in intra ocular pressure management in open-angle glaucoma and angle closure glaucoma.
- Develop an understanding of the genetics of glaucoma and how to use the SightScore in clinical glaucoma practice.
- Understand the interplay between genetics and environmental factors, the science behind what is driving the axial elongation of the eye and treatment strategies in children with myopia.
- Confidently describe the main categories of watery eye, understand causes of under drainage, understand assessment to differentiate and discuss initial treatments for the specific causes of a watery eye.
