Learning Objectives

  • Understand the situations where it is critical to conduct gonioscopy in a clinical setting.
  • Practice and gain confidence in using a variety of gonioscopy lens and understand the pro's and cons of each one, and learn how to properly maintain the equipment including infection control and sterilisation
  • Confidently describe the ocular structures seen through gonioscopy, and be able to document the findings accurately, and be able to identify normal and abnormal findings
  • Learn the best techniques to photograph corneal structures and conditions, including RGP contacts, Corneal staining, Corneal endothelium, and conjunctiva
  • Practice and gain confidence in being able to take photographs through a slit lamp in the clinic
  • Submit and receive feedback on photos taken, and explore how to keep photography consistent so progression can be monitored.
