  • Understand the mechanism of extended depth of focus intraocular lenses and assess candidates suitability for these lenses.
  • Understanding various imaging modalities to assist with diagnosis of macular diseases
  • Gaining a broad perspective of various macular pathologies
  • Understanding the different treatment strategies for macular diseases
  • To identify the common presenting symptoms and signs of ocular trauma
  • To understand the common patient demographic and activity at the time of ocular trauma
  • To learn about the Birmingham Eye Trauma Terminology and Ocular Trauma Score and how this influences patient prognosis after injury
  • To learn about the immediate, medical and surgical management of ocular trauma
