We are pleased to invite you to join us for the ICCLC 2022, the 18th International Cornea & Contact Lens Congress.

We are well advanced in our preparations for The Hitchhiker’s Guide to Cornea & Contact Lenses, the 18th International Cornea & Contact Lens Congress of the Cornea & Contact Lens Society of Australia.

This great event represents our 60th Anniversary and a celebration of the long-awaited return of face-to-face exhibitions and meetings.

We are confident that we’ll be among the first major eye care conferences in Australia since 2019.

The renowned Lyndon Jones has been confirmed as one of our International Keynote Speakers. He will deliver a broad range of topics and workshops. Lyndon will team up with long-time colleague, ICCLC Papers Committee Chair Fiona Stapleton, to present ‘Making it CLEAR’. They will cover CL complications and other aspects of the broad ranging series of CLEAR papers.

Charles McMonnies, recipient of the CCLSA Ken Bell Medal will deliver his lecture on some of the many highlights of an amazing career.

Arthur Ho and Debbie Sweeney are also worthy recipients of the CCLSA Brien Holden Memorial Award. Their lectures will feature some of the fantastic milestones of the CCLRU, BHVI and Australian achievements in the Cornea & Contact Lens field.

The program is full of practical, clinical and clinically focussed research, covering broad aspects of CLs and the ocular surface – from fantastic local and international presenters in plenary talks and workshops. It has been specially tailored for our Early Career Optometrists and those in commercial settings, as well as for general and advanced contact lens practitioners. There’s something for everyone!

Acknowledgement of Country

In the spirit of reconciliation Optometry Australia acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
