Learning Objectives

  • Learn practical skills in the diagnosis and management of dry eye and meibomian gland dysfunction, to manage patients in a normal optometry practice setting – Tear evaluation techniques and meibomian gland expression
  • Build understanding of aetiology and treatments for Evaporative and Aqueous deficient dry eye for practical application in optometric practice
  • Develop a framework for dry eye workup
  • Develop a better understanding of anterior ocular diseases that could closely resemble dry eye
