Learning Objectives
- understand the world epidemic of childhood myopia and identify high-risk groups
- understand the best method to monitor myopia progression and treatment response
- be updated on the current research knowledge of lenses and pharmaceuticals for myopia intervention
- be updated to lifestyle recommendations including safety considerations of UV exposure in these children
- safely and accurately diagnose and monitor children with myopia, especially high-risk groups
- to treat children with myopia with a sequential treatment plan and manage parent expectations
- identify myopes with possible syndromic or morphological causes for their myopia and appropriately refer before initiating intervention
