Activity Outline

ODMAFair25 is a trade fair showcasing the latest offerings for the optical industry in lenses, frames, sunglasses, accessories, business services, equipment and more.  A vibrant fair that is free for visitors to attend and features products and service displays, demonstrations, tips, networking spaces and events, fashion-focussed presentations and break-out sessions for dispensers, practice managers and owners to build your business.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand how to set clear expectations and goals during the probation period, ensuring compliance with employment law and fair work standards.
  • Learn to align engagement and performance strategies with legislative requirements, including anti-discrimination and workplace health and safety laws.
  • Identify and address performance barriers while adhering to best-practice procedures for performance management under the legislative framework.
  • Develop skills to conduct compliant and meaningful performance reviews, providing actionable and lawful feedback.
  • Explore tools and techniques to build a high-performance culture while meeting obligations under workplace legislation.
