Learning Objectives

  • Develop an understanding of the importance of creating an effective learning environment for team members, including students, to learn and develop
  • Understand how to produce learning activities that have been aligned to learner needs using appropriate resources and learning opportunities
  • Understand how to deliver effective feedback to team members, including students, and the difference between opportunities for formative and summative feedback
  • Understand different strategies for teaching and mentoring clinical and optometric skills to team members, including students
  • Provide effective clinical supervision and mentoring of students
  • Develop an understanding of assessment rubrics and how to apply these effectively
