Two interactive face-to-face presentations by Dr Salim Okera and Dr Gagan Khannah, with a question-and-answer session, assessment component and the opportunity to break into smaller groups for more comprehensive discussions and engagement.
Dr Gagan Khannah: Cataract Surgery in Glaucoma Patients
Objective: Understand the interaction between cataracts and glaucoma including preoperative, intra operative and postoperative considerations
Dr Salim Okera: Ocular Allergy
Objective: to know the signs, types and treatment of ocular allergy
Learning Objectives
- Understand what factors need to be considered when examining patients who have cataracts and glaucoma so as to be able to communicate effectively with patients
- Comprehend the different treatment options for patients with both conditions
- Recognize the preoperative considerations and to be able to discuss medical and surgical options available
- Appreciate the complexities that may arise intraoperatively and the complications that may occur postoperatively
- To know the signs, types and treatment of ocular allergy
