Learning Objectives

  • Be more familiar with outer retinal tubulations and how these impact OCT analysis and associated therapeutic medication management of wet AMD
  • Be more familiar with the epidemiology, signs & symptoms and ophthalmic associations of obstructive sleep apnoea
  • Understand the importance of a careful and targeted history in the planning of a systematic visual and ocular assessment of brain injury
  • Become more familiar with Latanoprostene Bunod and its role in the therapeutic management of glaucoma
  • Define the various categories of hypertension and become more familiar with the ocular effects of hypertension
  • Understand the correct method of in-office blood pressure measurement and the role optometrists play in screening for hypertension and managing such patients
  • Understand the importance of questionnaire selection in relation to the assessment of the ophthalmic domains of quality of life
  • Understand the alternative treatment option that biological bandage contact lenses provide for various ocular conditions and how this may impact the therapeutic medication management of such conditions
  • Become more familiar with the features, components, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties of an amniotic membrane
