Learning Objectives

  • To understand the way a lens is calculated at present.
  • To understand that the individual eye structure has an impact upon the way a lens design reaches the retina
  • To appreciate that whilst Higher Order Aberration cannot be fully compensated, measuring and compensating for the patients individual HOA will produce better patient comfort than using a physiological model with average HOA and pupil size.
