- Understand how SMILE has developed into becoming the gold standard procedure for surgical management of myopic astigmatism and knowing the indications for SMILE
- therapeutic: Know the therapeutics involved with SMILE and PRK surgery - To know what drop treatment required for routine operative care and instances of mild complications
- Therapeutic: Practitioners to be able to distinguish eye drops intolerance vs complications such as inflammation and infection.
- What is Presbyond and why presbyond is a more successful treatment than monovision
- Managing patients expectations pre and post surgery
- Therapeutic: Management that would involve ceasing medication for procedure
- Therapeutic: Understanding why and what is in the dry eye packs and drop instructions all our patients are given prior to surgery. Also practitioners need to be able to distinguish eye drops intolerance vs complications such as inflammation and infection.
- How Nomograms work- the point being the vast numbers of smile world wide plus the surgeon fine tuning will produce better results
- Better understanding of interpreting a Mac OCT
