  • Recognise the features and symptoms of common ocular neurological disorders.

  • Identify and exclude unreliable or inaccurate test results to assist with patient diagnosis.
  • Identify common retinal abnormalities using OCT and fundus photography.
  • Understand and identify OCT artefacts.
  • Confidently monitor retinal conditions, including visual outcomes, and compare test results over time.
  • Confidently identify clinical signs of glaucoma.
  • Select correct diagnostic tests for glaucoma.
  • Confidently perform diagnostic tests for glaucoma and interpret results accurately.
  • Determine differential diagnoses for patients with glaucoma.
  • Confidently classify and distinguish between different types of glaucoma.
  • Effectively use the slit lamp using a range of techniques during patient evaluations.
  • Confidently assess and utilise OCT imaging to aid in glaucoma diagnosis.
  • Identify and disregard inaccurate OCT imaging.
  • Develop individualised management plans for patients with glaucoma.
  • Understand ones role in the management and treatment of different types of glaucoma patients.
  • Provide glaucoma patients with precise instructions on medication dosage and use.
  • Confidently identify non-glaucomatous conditions that mimic glaucoma.
  • Confidently communicate sensitive information to patients during consultations.
  • Understand gold standard testing for ocular conditions and implement where possible.
  • Understand the limitations of diagnostic testing.
  • Develop personalised treatment and management plans for patients.
  • Implement strategies to enhance visual field assessment accuracy.
  • Confidently assess and identify features of ocular lesions.
  • Confidently distinguish between different types of ocular lesions.
  • Accurately identify malignant eyelid lesions.
  • Offer informed advise on the appropriate use of topical medications.
  • Understand and advise patients with ocular lesions on surgical options.
  • Create a prompt and effective plan for managing malignant ocular lesions.
