Learning Objectives

  • At the completion of the CPD activity, participants should have updated knowledge on the current surgical and conservative treatment options for paediatric cataracts.
  • At the completion of the CPD activity, participants should have a comprehensive understanding of the role of OCT in disc swelling, and be able to identify and diagnose the underlying cause of unilateral, bilateral, true and pesudo swelling of the optic nerve.
  • At the completion of the CPD activity, participants should have a comprehensive understanding on current macular surgeries and knowledge on when and how to operate on epiretinal membranes and macular holes.
  • At the completion of the CPD activity, participants should be aware of emergency paediatric eye diseases and how to treat or refer.
