  • CATARACT SURGERY IN PATIENTS WITH COMPLEX EYES (Dr Lingwei William Tao) To discuss interesting cataract surgery cases in patients who have angle closure, glaucoma and previous penetrating eye injury To understand role Mannitol in cataract surgery in patients with angle closure To walk through surgical planning and rationale in cataract patients with advanced glaucoma, expectations and results from surgeries Approach to assessment of cataract patient with previous ocular trauma
  • SPECIAL TECHNIQUES IN CATARACT AND EYELID SURGERY (Dr Jonathan Kam) To gain an understanding of techniques used when the cataract cannot be phacoemulsified To learn about methods used to correct iris defects To learn about modern methods used to implant an IOL when there is no capsular bag. To learn about eyelid surgery for dermatochalasis, ptosis, upper eyelid retraction, and skin cancers.
