  • Understand the role of Vision Services, eligibility requirements and referral pathways
  • Gain an overview of the most common vision conditions affecting children and young people in Tasmania
  • Gain an awareness of cerebral visual impairment (CVI) and understand some of the challenges posed by this brain-based vision condition
  • Become familiar with some ‘red flags’ for CVI, questionnaires, and management strategies
  • Appreciate different access considerations for children who are blind or have low vision
  • Consider ways that optometry can assist children who are blind or have low vision (and their families)
