  • Understanding the purpose & design of a Prosthetic eye
  • Know when a patient may require Ocularist referral for a new prosthesis
  • Identify when a prosthesis requires attention for review or new construction
  • Be aware of complications / co-morbidities that can be associated with prosthetic eyes
  • Understanding the patients’ experience
  • Awareness of Sunken Socket Syndrome (SSS)
  • Be aware & treat dry eye, blepharitis complications specific to Prostheses
  • Understand the steps associated in removing / inserting prostheses – find the resources to help
  • Know where to refer patients for support & care
