- To become familiar with the most common intraocular tumors
- To become familiar with the differential diagnoses of intraocular tumours
- To become familiar with the sequelae of intraocular tumours and treatment
- Identify features that may be used to distinguish between benign and malignant lesions
- Develop skills for pattern recognition of common lesions
- Develop an understanding of management for suspicious lesions
- Identify features of different aetiologies for retinal pathology
- Develop skills for pattern recognition of retinal conditions
- Develop an understanding of management strategies
- Understand the mechanisms of vision loss in AMD
- Develop an understanding of the role of thrombolytic agents in wet AMD and when it might be considered

- Recognise the impact of an aging population upon the management of glaucoma
- To become familiar with the indications for surgical intervention for glaucoma
- To become familiar with the glaucoma surgical procedure viscocanalostomy
- Identify types of IOL fixation and conditions that relate to IOL implants such as subluxated or dislocated IOLs, UGH syndrome
- Develop an understanding of temporising management for subluxated and dislocated IOLs
- Develop an understanding of surgical approaches to conditions secondary to IOL implants
