Activity Outline

Visual Neuroscience Synopsis

Dr. Sipatchin has dedicated over a decade to the field of neuroscience and earned her Ph.D. in cognitive sciences in 2023. She currently holds the role of International Product Manager and Project Manager in Medical Technology at Rodenstock, where she applies her expertise to advancing innovations in visual perception and optical solutions.

Her presentation will delve into the intricate relationship between perception and the visual system, emphasizing how crucial perception is in shaping our overall visual experience. Our visual system constantly receives input from the surrounding environment, as our eyes move rapidly across different fields of view and adjust to shifting angles. This dynamic nature of vision requires the brain to continuously filter, process, and interpret incoming data, effectively constructing our perception of the world.

Given that every individual has a unique visual system, both structurally and functionally, this raises an important question: How can we influence perception to develop personalized and optimized visual solutions for each patient? By exploring the interplay between vision, cognition, and perception, Dr. Sipatchin will shed light on her research and the insights that could influence our individual perception to provide a unique and optimal visual solution for each individual.
