Learning Objectives

  • Participants will leave this presentation with an understanding of the newest anti-VEGF soon to enter the market and what potential benefits this treatment may have for their shared patients in areas such as prolonged treatment intervals.
  • Participants will leave with an understanding about a new breakthrough treatment for AMD in the form of the nanosecond laser ie Retinal Rejuvination Therapy (2RT), its mechanism of action and the most recent pivotal clinical trials associated with its use. They will have a firm understanding of its role in treatment and in the prevention of late AMD in their patients.
  • Participants will leave with an improved understanding of the strategies and devices recently introduced into the region. This will specifically give the attendees a better understanding of what is available for those difficult refractive patients suffering from dry eye, irregular corneas and idiosyncratic visual requirements.
  • Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and clarify any area which has been discussed this evening given the vast areas or topic and treatment which will be discussed.
