Learning Objectives

  • At the completion of the CPD activity, participants should be able to show an understanding of the increase in risk for the development of microbial keratitis (MK) in non-compliant patients.
  • At the completion of the CPD activity, participants should be able to show an understanding of how non-compliance with lens replacement, sleeping in lenses, inappropriate solution and case usage and poor hand-washing increases the risk of both infiltrative keratitis and MK.
  • At the completion of the CPD activity, participants should be able to show an understanding of various methods to reduce potential non-compliance issues in contact lens wearers.
