Learning Objectives

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the new advancements in Cataract Surgery & how this applies to possible patient outcomes post surgery
  • Engage with a hands-on cataract wet-lab giving them a unique opportunity to experience the cataract surgery process
  • Develop a greater understanding about indications for a referral, treatments currently on offer and research and development offering future novel treatments for this disease
  • Develop a greater understanding about referral procedures, best practice, expectations for communication. Discussion around planning and implementing any changes of processes between parties
  • Take part in an interactive activity via a Cataract Simulator which attendees will be able to utilise
