The SILK procedure is the latest lenticule surgery from Johnson & Johnson for refractive correction of myopia and astigmatism.

Suitability, technique and outcomes will be discussed as well as the clear advantages of this leading technology.

Learning Objectives

  • Assess suitability of patients for SILK
  • Gain an understanding of the sequential steps involved in the SILK procedure
  • Differentiate corneal and refractive astigmatism and understand the use of Vector Planning for optimal astigmatic outcomes
  • Postoperatively co-manage patients undergoing refractive surgery
