Optometry Australia (OA) remains committed to providing tangible benefits that add value to our members’ professional and personal lives. As part of this ongoing commitment, OA has locked in partnerships with Doctors’ Health Fund and Qantas, ensuring members receive premium perks tailored to their needs.

OA members can take advantage of Doctors’ Health Fund (DHF) perks, ensuring high-quality, flexible health insurance coverage.

Key benefits include:

Please note that the 15 weeks free offer is a limited time offer which ends on 31st March. OA’s members can sign up for the 15 weeks offer here.
Note: OA members will need to provide proof of policy to claim the 15 weeks offer. You simply need to contact us at national@optometry.org.au with your name and membership number, or call (03) 9668 8500, to get a copy of your PII certificate of currency and proof of OA membership to forward to DHF.
  • $200 ‘Refer a Friend’ promotion – Doctors’ Health Fund members can benefit from an extra saving when referring colleagues. For a limited time, both referrer and referral will receive a $200 e-Gift Card, no caps on the number of referrals until 30th June. You can find more details here.
  • Automatic Ambulance Cover – Included across all tiers, ensuring peace of mind in an emergency.
  • No Preferred Provider Restrictions – Members have the freedom to choose their preferred healthcare providers without restrictions.
  • Enhanced Optical & Dental Coverage – Offering $500 optical benefits every two years and comprehensive dental coverage on Essential Extras cover.
  • Ethical, Evidence-Based Approach – DHF does not cover non-evidence-based alternative treatments, ensuring premiums are allocated toward proven medical services.

Optometry Australia hopes these perks are valued by members who value flexibility and control over their healthcare choices. Sophie Koh, Optometry Australia’s Director, Professional Services said, ‘Doctors’ Health Fund’s no-preferred provider philosophy aligns with our members’ priorities, offering high-value, flexible coverage without restrictions.’
