- Discuss what Presbyond laser blended vision is and how it works, spherical aberrations and how its induction alongside LASIK gives patient’s the best and safest form of presbyopia management
- Identify and counsel patients on all the different presbyopia treatment options and refer appropriately
- Discuss the new hyperopic SMILE laser eye surgery option; how it is performed and how it works
- Know the use of the femtosecond laser and how it's utiliised to give concave lenticules to treat hyperopia, how optometrists can identify and council patients on all the different hyperopia lasers
- Know the different IOL options available for spectacle independence and on the new Spiral Optic lenses and why/how it is superior to diffractive optics
- Discuss the different technologies, how to guide patients and to refer appropriately
- Know the latest management options for keratoconus and why there is a shift from lamellar surgery to procedures that preserve the patient's own cornea
