Learning Objectives

  • To gain increased knowledge around options for refractive surgery
  • To become aware of advances in minimally invasive glaucoma surgery that may be offered at the time of cataract surgery
  • To be introduced to implantable collamer lens surgery and the type of patients who may be appropriate for it.
  • Managing difficult diabetic patients
  • Latest trials on diabetic maculopathy and retinopathy management
  • Update on latest uveitis trials
  • Demonstrate an awareness of the different types of ptosis and their etiology
  • Be able to identify and recognise severe and life-threatening ptosis
  • Gain an understanding in the management of different types of upper eyelid blepharoptosis
