Activity Outline
This webinar is designed to educate Optometrists across the Asia region on the opportunity with Toric Soft Contact Lenses. The latest research in Toric prescribing trends and practitioner behaviours especially in the Asia region will be discussed. Research in the benefits of low astigmatism correction with toric soft contact lenses will be presented by lead investigators in this space. The objective of this webinar is to improve patient outcomes and practitioner success when prescribing toric soft contact lenses to their patients.
Learning Objectives
- Understand the current prescribing behaviors and trends regarding toric soft contact lens prescribing across Asia and APAC markets. The toric contact lens opportunity will be discussed with an emphasis on outlining the benefits of correcting low cyls with astigmatic patients.
- Understand the impact of toric contact lens correctional and their effects on real-world visual performance measures using digital devices. The key findings and clinical endpoints in this study will be presented by the primary investigator Prof Scott Read from QUT.
- Differentiate between different toric soft contact lens designs and how they are optimised to provide stable vision and comfort.
- Understand via the panel discussion the impact of low astigmatism correction and patient outcomes. Variance between prescribing habits in different regions in Asia will also be discussed.
