Activity Outline

An informational evening hosted by the Toowoomba Surgicentre, sponsored by Glaukos, and in partnership with local Opthalmic Surgeons Dr Ashley Seawright, Dr Michael Statham & Dr Keith Zabell.  Topics covered include IOL choices, Advancements in Phaco Technology, Advancements in Diagnostic Technology, and a dry lab covering the new istent (iS3) and preserflo technology.  Food and beverage will be provided on the night. 

Learning Objectives

  • Know the different IOL choices available on the market currently, the local preferences, and the differences between the lens types and reasons behind the patient choices.
  • Understand more about the diagnostic technology used by Opthalmologists prior to surgical intervention
  • Understand the basics of phacoemulsification used throughout the diagnostic and surgical procedure
  • Be aware of the new technology released from Glaukos, as well as have a basic understanding of the implantation process.
